Scottish Health Action on Alcohol Problems (SHAAP), the Scottish Alcohol Research network (SARN) and the Institute of Alcohol Studies (IAS) warmly invite you to join us online for the second Alcohol Occasional event of 2021, featuring a presentation on the subject of alcohol and fatherhood from Dr Elena Dimova (Glasgow Caledonian University).

The aim of this scoping review is to address the gap in previous research by bringing together evidence on the impact of becoming a father on men’s alcohol consumption, on the effectiveness of existing interventions to reduce drinking among new fathers, and on the best way to engage expectant and new fathers.

The report’s author is Dr Elena Dimova a postgraduate researcher and a member of the Substance Use research group and Child and Adolescent Health research programme at Glasgow Caledonian University.

This project was funded by the IAS Small Grants Scheme.
